

Craig was born July 23, 1958, in the small Texas town of Trinity, Texas. He grew up in Pasadena, Texas where he graduated from Sam Rayburn High School. He played Pasadena youth football and some other accomplishments were being involved with many clubs and organizations and was the FHA Sweetheart his senior year. He then attended Sam Houston State University where he graduated in 1980 with a BBA degree and continued post graduate work. He served as chapter Secretary, Treasurer and notably the President of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After graduating he went to work for a family-owned business that is a heavy construction equipment distributor, he left there in 1990 to devote more time to his pageant business.
It was 36 years ago that he became involved in Gay Pageantry. He was the Promotor for six city pageants in Houston, plus six state pageants including Mr. and Miss Gay Texas, US of A. He was also promoter of two national contests. It was November 2019 that he was honored at Houston’s city Inaugural HOUmanity Awards with the award for Community Champion, where he stated that “he was humbled, and it was a huge honor.” He also stated, “I didn’t set out to be a Community Champion, I set out to make a difference in our community.” And that he did!
Craig is survived by his mother, Annette, and his father Farrel and his wife Ann. He is survived by his brother Dean Henderson and wife Nancy Henderson, his nephew Dustin Henderson and wife Blair and daughters Francis and Clarke, his niece Bailey Rieves and husband Wade and sons Jake and Carson, his nephews Dario Gonzalez and Tony Gonzalez and wife Ava.
A funeral service will be held privately for family only on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021, at Grand View Funeral home, but will be available for live stream. Flowers or donations may be sent to 8501 Spencer Hwy Pasadena, TX 77505.
