He was born December 14, 1926, in Laredo, Texas, the son of late Francisco and Josefa Casso. On April, 20, 1952, he married Tina Salinas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served his country during World War II. He retired after 22 years from H-E-B, in Victoria, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Tina Casso; children, Fred Casso and wife Carol, Carlos Casso and wife Becky, Aida Abraham and husband Michael, Romeo Casso and wife Jeanette, and Ruben Casso. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren, Justin Abraham, Shaun Casso, Cody Casso, Xavier Casso-O’Hara, Brian Abraham, Molly Casso, Rosalinda Casso-O’Hara, Michelle Casso, Jamie Abraham, Daniel Casso and Juan Casso. J.B. never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. Everyone who knew J.B. knows how much he loved life, laughter, his family, his friends and his delicious sweets.
Serving as pallbearers were Fred Casso, Carlos Casso, Romeo Casso, Ruben Casso, Justin Abraham, and Brian Abraham, with honorary pallbearer, Xavier Casso-O’Hara.
