Jessie Jo Buford, 97, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on July 14, 2015, in Pasadena, Texas. She was born in Athens, Texas, on October 25, 1917, to James Samuel and Lora Arkie Wills Tucker. She was the youngest of seven children with three brothers and three sisters. She was married to Clifford Franklin Buford, the love of her life, for 61 years before his passing in 1996. They were members of Watters Road Church of Christ.
Jo was a resident of Pasadena for over 70 years, and enjoyed meeting and working with the public while being employed by several retail businesses in the area. However, her greatest joy was family, home and friends.
She is survived by daughters, Nellie Jo Clark/husband, Sam, of Montgomery, Texas, Helen Wolf/husband, Dallas, of Houston, Texas, grandsons, Samuel Kevin Clark, Kenneth Buford Clark/ wife, Chris Clark, Scott Clifford Thompson, great grand-children Kelsy Clark, Kory Clark, MacKenna Clark, and Maren Clark.
Jo is preceded in death by husband, parents, and siblings. A Funeral Service will be held at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas, on July 18th, at 3:00 P.M. , with interment at Grand View Memorial Park.
