Our beloved mother received her angel wings on Saturday, May 16. Born in Kingsville, Texas on November 7, 1950. Daughter of Gildardo and Natalia Cortez. She is survived by her 6 children: daughter Elisa Duran and husband Gilbert, son Eleazar Trevino, daughter Lorraine Wells and husband James, daughter Danielle Cano and husband Jesse, daughter Elia Velez and husband Reggie and daughter Kristina Orta; 3 Brothers: Roberto Cortez and wife Patty, Gildardo Cortez Jr, Juan Rene Cortez and wife Teresa; 17 Grandchildren: Alex, Lucia, Dominick, Anthony, Julian, Justin, Jonathan, Alex, Jesse, Zev, Hunter, Isaiah, Faith, Krystal, Christopher, Katherine and Ruben; Great-grandchildren Adalyn, Aliah, Emerson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many. Worked for San Jacinto College-Central Campus as a custodian for a little over 20 years.
