He grew up with a passion for baseball, guns and animals and his passions for those things never subsided. He was a diehard Astros fan and wanted to talk baseball at every opportunity. Kenneth loved animals. He was raised on a farm in Mexia where he had pet chickens named Queenie and Brownie. The family moved to Pasadena in 1945 and he graduated from Pasadena High School in 1951. He worked most of his career with the City of Pasadena working as a street / construction inspector.
He married Linda Harris, the love of his life, in 1996. Even though they were neighbors for many years, it was another neighbor who eventually introduced them and a relationship grew from there. Over the last 25 years of marriage, they have cared for 8 horses, numerous goats and most importantly, their dogs.
