

Kris Anne was a devout Catholic and member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church. She attended Dabbs Elementary, Bonnette Jr. High, and graduated with the Class of 1997 at Deer Park High School. Kris Anne grew up active in sports such as softball, in which she received offers to play at the collegiate level. After graduating as a dental assistant, Kris Anne worked at Royal Dental and 4Smiling Aesthetic Dentistry.
Kris Anne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fortunato and Maria Gonzalez, Frank Mesa, Sr. and Sylvia Trujillo, uncles, Lino Gonzalez and Frank Mesa, Jr, aunts, Denise Gonzalez and Doreen Mesa, and Cousin Denise Scruggs. Kris Anne is survived by her husband, Justin Mathews, sons, Adrian and Gavin Gonzales, parents, Alberto and Deborah Gonzalez, sister, Natalie Fairbanks, and her dogs, Mikey, and Saint Mathews. Furthermore, Kris is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, uncles, aunts, cousins, family, and friends. The family would like to thank the countless doctors, nurses, medical staff, and friends that have been there for Kris Anne and supported her in this fight.
A visitation, followed by a rosary, will be held on March 10, 2022, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 816 Park Dr., La Porte, Texas 77571.
A funeral service will be held on March 11, 2022, at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 816 Park Dr., La Porte, Texas 77571.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kris Anne Mathews’ name to the Cancer Research Institute or the Pasadena Animal Shelter.
