Lucy was born on October 14th, 1940 to Ruel and Zelma Allen in Bolivar County, Mississippi.
In 1959 Lucy met the love of her life Rolland at the Leland Bingo Hall. Lucy and Rolland were married in Leland Methodist Church on December 8th, 1959. Their adventures started with a honeymoon to Niagara Falls. Lucy loved to travel and went on many trips abroad and around the United States, taking her family on her many escapades with her. She had a love and luck in gambling and did not want anyone to interfere with her mojo (if you needed more chips just hang around and she would toss them at you to make you go away).
They had two Children Jo Carol and Ray Lee. She loved family, and took a major step when they moved to Texas in 1968, leaving her Mom, her three brothers Glenn(Marie), Joe (Betty), Earl and Sister Thelma (Charles). In 1975 they built their forever home in Deer Park. However, she made sure to take road trips home to Mississippi several times a year.
Lucy was an entrepreneur and ran a successful Aircraft Detailing Company until her retirement. During retirement she found a love for ceramics. She created stunning pieces that won several awards.
She had a quick witted sense of humor and always spoke her mind. Sometimes it was subtle, and other times sharp, but there was no intent to harm anyone.
In passing, she is now dancing in the clouds with her true love Rolland Kuhn. She is also being welcomed by her Mom Zelma, Dad Ruel, Brothers: Earl, Joe (Johnny and Tina) and Sister Thelma (Charles), Sister-in-law Marie, cousin Marjorie and many more.
She leaves behind her Daughter Jo Carol (Johnny) and Son Ray Lee (Dusty)
Grand children Brandy, Brittany, Dylan, Ryan, Jonathan, Jacob, and Jordin. Two Great Grandchildren JoLee and Lorelie. Her Brother Glenn, Sister-in-law Dot Johnson (David), Sister-in-law Patty Price and daughter Tina Friend, Sister-in-law Betty and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
