Lynn grew up in Oklahoma City, OK, graduating from Putnam City High School, then Oklahoma State University. She moved to Houston after graduation and met the love of her life, Harlan Lang. They were married in 1970 and together until his death in 2012. Lynn held many jobs in her life, such as a teacher and juvenile probation officer, but her favorite job was being a mother and a grandma.
She served her community with the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo. She was very active in many bridge clubs, and loved traveling all over the world, especially Las Vegas (she never met a casino she didn’t love). She enjoyed watching TV (Law and Order, Perry Mason and Golden Girls being a few of her favorites), reading (anything by John Grisham or Janet Evanovich and of course, her beloved Star Magazine), pink flamingos, crossword puzzles, collecting knick knacks, entertaining at her home, and being around her family. She loved Jeopardy and saw herself being a contestant one day. Lovely Lynn Lang (as she was known by many) was a fun and true friend, a loving wife, mother, and mamaw.
Lynn is survived by her sons Ricky Lang and Denny Lang, as well as her grandchildren, Bradley Yarbrough (Marissa), Cassie Withrow (Howie), Danette Yarbrough, Travis Belvin, Andi Lang, and Jackie Lang, and her great grandchildren Stella, Elle, Tenley, Kaylee, Sailor, Hannah and Londyn. Also left to mourn her passing are many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends with which she had a special relationship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adeline and Roger Laubach, her brother Rodney Laubach, her husband Harlan Lang, and her two loving daughters, Annetta Belvin and Sherrie Yarbrough. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Visitation will be Friday, August 16 from 5pm - 8pm at Grand View Funeral Home, Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17th at 2PM at Grand View Funeral Home.
