Marcella Gertrude Silva passed away on February 3, 2011 in Houston, Texas at the age of 84. She was born on October 6, 1926 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the union of Arnold and Agnes Johnson. Marcella is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 25 years, Forest White Silva, Jr.; and one sister, Thelma Bernice Padgett. She is survived by 4 children, Forest Arnold Silva “Skip” and wife Ani, Richard Wayne Silva “Dick” and wife Terri, Robert Lynn Silva “Bobby” and wife Marina, Debra Ellen Wright “Debbie” and husband Rodney; daughter-in-law, Kathy Silva; 12 grandchildren, Robert “Bubba”, Tarrah, Katie, Brandon, Jason, Kim, Jeffrey, Forest “Skeet”, Melissa, Ricky, Tiffany, Brad, Valeria; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 expected great grandchild.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
