Maria Saenz Lozano

Maria S. Lozano passed away on January 19, 2011, in Baytown, Texas at the age of 85. She was born on April 10, 1925 in Benavides, Texas to Fernando and Julianna Saenz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Baldemar Lozano Sr., her son Jessie O. Lozano, her parents, Fernando and Julianna Saenz, brothers Fernando, Abel and Felipe Saenz; sister Magdalena Saenz and Great Grandson Michael Paul Lozano. She is survived by sons Baldemar Lozano Jr. and wife Gina; Jose Lozano and wife Janie; Mario Lozano and wife Gemma; daughter-in-law Alma Lozano and daughter Nelda Shealy and husband Bernie; eleven Grandchildren and seventeen GreatGrandchildren. Maria grew up in South Texas and moved to La Porte, Texas in 1956 where she has been a lifelong resident of La Porte. Her most important role in life was serving the Lord and being a devoted mother and housewife to her husband and five children. Maria enjoyed being involved in St. Mary’s Catholic Church ministries, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and going to the Casinos. She loved her new home at Oakview Senior Living where she made many new friends and was very active in her community over the last five years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Viewing will be at Grandview Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer, Hwy, Pasadena, Tx 77505, phone 281-479-6076, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the Rosary Service will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23rd. Funeral service mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 816 Park, La Porte, Texas 77571, on Monday, January 24th at 10:30 a.m. with final respects from 9:45 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.
