Marsha Hacker Kelly, age 81, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 30, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 13, 1943, in Bloomington, Indiana, to Thomas Ora Hacker and Edna Fern White.
Marsha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Alexander Kelly, with whom she shared 35 wonderful years of marriage.
She is survived by her devoted children: Jeffrey Kelly and his wife Lisa, John Kelly and his wife Heather, and Miyano Lee and her husband Michael. Marsha also leaves behind her loving brother, Thomas (Butch) Hacker and his wife Carolyn; her many cherished cousins; and her treasured grandchildren: Rebecca Chaney and her husband Michael, Sydney Kelly, Sarah Kelly, and Joey Kelly—all of whom she adored beyond measure.
Marsha’s gentle spirit and kind heart touched everyone she met. A faithful member of her church community, she had a gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. She never met a stranger and was truly one of the sweetest souls to walk this earth. Marsha found joy in the simple pleasures of life—her faith, deep conversations with friends, a good book, a glass of wine, and anything sweet.
Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends leave a legacy that will continue to inspire those lucky enough to have known her. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the deep love that will forever bind us to her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
