Mary Katherine Norris Chastain was born on July 19, 1936 to Lawrence Marshall Norris and Marie Reed Norris. She took her place in heaven on January 14, 2017 after a long and exhausting battle with Alzheimer’s.
She has one daughter and four sons who survive her, Barbara Joanne Lowrie, Billy, Gary, Randy, and Richard Chastain, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary, who spent much of her adult life in Jacinto City, TX, while working for Weingartens made the raising of her family the center of her life and was a dedicated, loving, and caring mother and grandmother who will be missed by her children and grandchildren an all who knew her. She will be remembered as a woman who laughed a lot, had a sharp wit, and enjoyed her large family.
The family will conduct a graveside service Wednesday January 18, 2017 at 2:00pm at Grand View Memorial Park.
