

Born in Houston, Texas on March 21, 1931 to Frances & Robert Sanders and passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. She was a member of the Classics Club of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, and had served as chairman. She was active in the Deer Park AARP, and had served on the Advisory Council at East Harris County Activity Center. Mary was a member of the Sonshiners at St. Pius V, and was a long time member of St. Pius and attended services San Juan Diego Catholic Church when she was able. She also enjoyed collecting postcards that her family would bring her.
Mary attended several schools from Houston to Georgia and the family eventually settled in Beaumont, Texas where Mary attended Dick Dowling Junior High and graduated from Beaumont High School. After graduation she went to work as an assistant secretary to the owner of The White House Department Store and after several years she went to Williamson Insurance Agency.
One evening at a U.S.O. dance she met her future husband Robert "'Bob" 'Titus. They were together for two years, when he was released from the service and returned home to New Jersey. After a year the re, he returned to Beaumont, and they were married. The couple moved to New Jersey where Bob was working for Merrill Lynch. Mary went to work for Mormenstein Insurance Company until their son, Michael, was born. After two years they decided to move to Houston where their daughter, Patricia, was born. They lived there, until in1966, they moved into a house in Pasadena. Bob passed away on March 22, 2017. Mary is joined by her beloved husband, Bob Titus, Frances Land and step-father, P.H. Land.
She is survived by Patricia and William Goodman; Michael and Debbie Titus, and grandchildren, Amanda Titus and John Carmer, Benjamin Titus, Drew and Alina Goodman and Casey Goodman; also survived by great-grandchildren, Rya and Mila Goodman and finally her life companion and precious pet, Lucy.
A visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10:00am until 11:00am at Grand View Funeral Home with a rosary and funeral service beginning at 11:00am also at Grand View Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Houston National Cemetery.
