May Chan Wong, 85, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on November 30, 2010. She was born in San Francisco, CA on April 20, 1925. May came to Houston in 1950 with her husband of 65 years, Jerry Wong Lowe to start their own businesses; Fairland Food Market, which they owned for 23 years, and Fairland Apartments, which they owned for 42 years, and raise their family. May was a dedicated, compassionate wife, loving and caring mother, spoiling and doting grandmother, and a kind, generous friend. She will be forever missed.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lowe; son and wife Wessley and Janice Wong, daughter and husband Wanda and Carl Reyna, and daughter Wilma Hand; grandchildren Dana Kerbow, Brandi Hennessey, Aaron Reyna, Kenna Wong, Saysha Mei, and Samantha Hand; and great grandchildren Dezirae and Jake Mei, and Grayson Reyna.
Visitation will be Friday, December 3, 2010 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at
10:30 am at Grandview Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster TX.
