Michael Wayne Coggins

Michael Wayne Coggins, 50, was called upon by the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was born June 24, 1962 in Pasadena, TX. Michael was known by many several nicknames including Mike and Cinco. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ruddock; step-father, Mac Ruddock; grandmother, Juanita Wilson; and uncle, Terry Wilson.

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife, Stacy Coggins of 17 years, and five children: Christi, Kelli, Joshua, Bridgett, and Jason. Mike will continuously be loved and known as grandpa to six grandchildren. Also, he is survived by his father, Marvin Coggins; step-mother, Dee Coggins; brother, David Coggins; sister, Toby Coggins; and sister-in-law, Cindy Coggins. Mike’s nieces and nephew (Stacy Diane, Steven, and Alana) will always remember him as the fun uncle who was quick to crack jokes.

He also leaves behind many other loving friends and relatives who he cherished deeply. Mike was an amazing husband, father, uncle, brother, and friend who always put others first.

Mike was truly a people person and family man. Anything he had he gave to those he loved. He enjoyed spending quality time with those he loved through boating, BBQ-ing, and his motorcycle. He took great pleasure in coaching and mentoring youth in his community. Anyone who was acquainted with Mike knew he had such a big heart and a contagious laugh. He will be greatly missed. We love you Mike.
