

Ottie Louise McInnis Holloway, 88, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She was born on November 20, 1936, in Owens, Texas to the late Claude McInnis and Etta Clemie Chambers. On August 22, 1953, at the young age of sixteen, Ottie married the love of her life Sammy Lester Holloway. Together they spent the next seventy-one and a half years building a life together while raising their four children.
Ottie pursued many interests, some of which included her love for bowling, fishing, going to the deer lease, and cooking. Her and Sammy enjoyed attending bluegrass festivals where they would often be found volunteering at the front gates. They also spent many evenings going country and western dancing. When her children were younger, and Sammy was running their service station, Ottie would take them to play in the water at the beach.
Ottie’s family meant everything to her. When her children were in school, going to their various sporting events was extremely important to her, as she never missed one. Ottie had an open-door policy to everyone in the neighborhood. She was a bonus mom to many and accepted everyone with open arms, loving them as her own.
Ottie was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather who lovingly raised her JW Grisham; and her son Lester Holloway. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her beloved husband Sammy Holloway; her children LuGene Delk and husband James, Jeffery Holloway and wife Dottie, and Melody Smith and husband Tim; her daughter-in-law Debbie Hickman; her grandchildren Tiffany Roots and partner Shaun Bailey, Shawn Patrick and husband Ross Haber, Curtis Holloway, Sammy Holloway and wife Misty, Leslie Holloway, Tim Robinson and wife Genia, Lindsay Holloway and husband Raul, Jake Barber, Samantha Barber; her fifteen great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandchild; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on March 10, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, United States.A funeral service will follow at the same location from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.The graveside service will take place from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm, also at Grand View Funeral Home.
