Patricia was born on May 10th, 1948, in Morrilton, Arkansas, to Olva and Homer Leach. She was married to Kitchell Collins Compton for 25 years. Patricia earned her degree in Bachelor of Arts in Education, with a major in elementary education and a minor in art, from Sam Houston State University in 1970.
Her passions included solving word puzzles, creating and appreciating artwork, reading novels, and cherishing time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olva and Homer Leach; her brother, Ronald Leach; and her ex-husband, Kitchell Collins Compton.
Patricia is survived by her brother, Richard Leach and his wife Jo Carrol of Red River, NM; her sisters, Sue Leach of Wilmington, NC, and Pamela Welch and her husband Troy of Houston, TX; her sons, Kris Compton, Brian Compton and his wife Rachel, John Compton, and Steven Compton; her grandchildren, Zachary, Tayleigh, Nichole, Keaton, Hayden, Kayleigh, Harleigh, Brian II, and Daisy; and her great-grandchildren, Meadow and Lilith.
