

He was born in Houston, TX, raised in Mercedes, Texas, moved to Pasadena in 1971. He is survived by his wife, Audelia; Sons; Pete JR; and Aaron; Sisters; Yolanda Hughes, Ofelia Barron, Odelia Garcia, Estella Phillips, Gracie Martinez, Luz Shifie, Brothers Romel Vasquez, Omar Vasquez ; Granddaughters Alexandria Velasquez, Paige Vasquez, Skyler Vasquez, Colton Vasquez, numerous nephews and nieces; as well as countless friends. Pedro was preceded in death by his parents Crispin Vasquez and Antonia Vasquez and brother Crispin Vasquez Jr.
He worked for many years in the wholesale and retail produce , had many businesses in Pasadena, Deer Park and in Sea Brook. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969 and served one tour in Vietnam, were he achieved the Ranks of Sergeant. Pedro was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Great Conduct Medal. Pete , while retired later served his country on the political platform serving as an aid to Gov. Perry in many of the Gov. Campaigns. He enjoyed life raising his two sons, and spoiling his beautiful wife "JAY". He was a very good provider , and loving to all who crossed his path. Pete always said " I will rest when I die" , well Big Peter may you rest in piece with the Lord. Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 2-7 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Service will on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home with Entombment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
