Robert "Bob" Wilson Faughtenbery was born January 25, 1939, in Ashdown, AR. He was raised in Vallejo, CA, from the age of 3 or 4 till he was 15, when they moved to Bishop, TX, where his love of sports took off when he was a part of the Bishop High School Badgers Football Team. He graduated in 1957. He was married to Lenora Gale Prewitt on August 31, 1963, in Kingsville, TX. He had 2 children in 1965, on April 17, sons Jerry Wayne and Terry Layne. They moved their small family to Lomax, TX, then to Deer Park, TX. On December 29th, 1971, a daughter, Dawn Valera, joined their family. Bob began to coach youth baseball in the Spring of 1972 and then football in the fall of 1973. He was also the coach for a basketball team for two or three years to help get the program up and running. He retired from Rohm and Has in 1998 and moved to Livingston, where he lived the rest of his life. He is preceded in death by wife Gale, his father, William, his mother, Mildred, and his sons, Jerry and Terry. Survived by his Daughter, Dawn, daughter-in-law, Sherri, granddaughter, Sarah Gale, grandson, Kyle, granddaughter-in-law, Brittney, and great-grandson, Bodie and his sister, Pat. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to Deer Park Football Booster Club or a children’s charity of your choice.
