

Robert R. Seagraves passed away on May 25, 2012 in Pasadena, TX. He was born on February 22, 1933 in Victoria, TX to Cecil and Henrietta Segraves. Robert was a true patriot, serving in the US Navy during the Korean War (1950-1953). He resided in Pasadena, TX, and retired from Lubrizol after 27 years employment. Robert led an active life. He was a wonderful cook, always dancing and enjoyed spending time bowling, fishing, hunting, and camping. He especially enjoyed camping in Garner State Park. Robert lit up when his grandchildren and great grandchildren were around. He loved time with family and friends. Robert was an “awesome man”. He had many extended family members and friends he considered to be his own. His memory will be treasured.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Henrietta Seagraves. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Annie Seagraves; 2 sons, Bruce Norton and his wife Vicki, Jay Covert and his wife Cindy; 4 daughters, Debbie Seagraves, Loretta Cain and her husband Ralph, Michelle Zimmerman and her husband John, and Angie Phillips and her husband David; 8 grandchildren, Paul, Michael, Robert, Leighanne, Ron, Dustin, Jeremy, and Jack; 3 great grandchildren, Taylor, Kailey, and Colton.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with a celebration of Robert’s life to begin at 7:00 p.m. At a later date, Robert will be laid to rest with military honors in Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of usual remembrances memorial contributions in memory of Robert may be made to Wreaths Across America Houston Chapter http://waahouston.com/donate/ , American Diabetes Association, or the American Heart Association.
