Ruby Mae Nelson, 89, of Cleveland, formerly of Deer Park, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She was born June 28, 1931 in Redland, Texas to Joe Wesley and Montie Hill. She was a lady that was full of life, always well dressed and loved to look her best. She enjoyed music and traveling to Vegas to see Elvis and Tom Jones. Ruby enjoyed the outdoors watching the birds, or feeding the deer or looking at the beautiful flowers. She was a nurse at Southmore Hospital for over 20 years and really enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is survived by her son, John David Nelson; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren along with son-in-law, John Wayne Snelson and daughters-in-law, Jeannette Nelson and Norma Nelson.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; Joe and Montie (Hudson) Hill; sons, Jack Nelson and Jim Nelson; daughter, Sophie Snelson, brother, Joe Hill and granddaughter, Tammy Nelson.
