Runa Louise Thomas, 97, of Deer Park, Texas passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was born in Madisonville, Texas on July 7, 1920 to Virgil and Roberta Bates. She was married to Dean Thomas for 48 years. Runa Louise was self employed having owned her own dry cleaning business. She enjoyed poker, gardening and most of all her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Thomas and daughter, Geraldine McKinney. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Eckert; grandsons, Jody Lively and wife Cheryl, Brad Eckert and wife Amy; great grand kids, Jamie, Zachary, Mariah, Hannah and Emily; great great grand kids, Brooklyn and Rose.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas 77505. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 12:30pm in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
