Ted Barta

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ted Alexander Barta, who left this world on February 11, 2025. Born on July 22, 1967, he was the beloved son of David and Loretta Barta and a cherished brother to Mark Barta and Lisa Fuller.

A devoted father, Ted was the proud dad of Kristina Farmer, Chase Barta, Cody Barta, and Kortni Barta, along with their spouses—Bo Farmer, Laikyn Barta, Victoria Barta & Chris Sosa, who he loved as his own. His greatest joy was his grandchildren—Tristin, Drake, Kinley, Bryce, Woods, Blakely, Luca, Major, Tate, and a sweet baby girl on the way—each of whom he adored beyond words.

Ted "Plinko" Barta had a deep love for family, friends, and the great outdoors. Whether he was traveling, wheeling in his Jeep, or simply spending time with those he loved, he lived life to the fullest. He built a successful career with AT&T spanning over 25 years, but his true legacy lies in the kindness he showed to everyone he met. A man with a heart as big as his sense of humor, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a special love for Tom Hanks movies, a knack for making people laugh, and an unwavering dedication to being the best Dad, Pops, son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend.

His loss leaves a void that can never be filled, but his love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of his life will be held March 1, 2025 at 1 pm located at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX.
