Virginia Marie Parker

Born in Flatonia, Texas on April 24, 1935, she was the daughter of Martin and Maria Cardenas Sanchez. She went to beauty school and opened a beauty shop in her home that she ran for several years. She then went to nursing school and worked as a nurse and project manager for many years until retirement.

She was preceded in death by her father Martin, mother Mary, brother George, son Daniel, granddaughter Nina, and grandson David Jr.

She is survived by her partner, Hector; sister Mollie; children Wayne, David, DeDe, Sharon, Terri; grandchildren Marsha, Gabriel, Anthony, Joseph, Ryan, Christopher, Daniel Ray, Austin, Amy, Eric, Cody, Tanner; great grandchildren Kyla, Sophia, Diego, Gloria, Reeva, Brandon, Nicole, Elise, Ethan, Torri, Madison, Sophia, Asher, Bella, and Jace; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was a true animal lover and cared for her pets including horses, dogs, and birds. She enjoyed horseback riding where she rode with the family trail riding group, Outlaws.

Virginia was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was caring, generous, and always the brightest light in the room. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. A rosary will occur Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 7:00 PM. A graveside service will occur Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery, 726 N Penn Street, Flatonia, Texas 78941.
