Adelita H. Lopez, a beloved resident of Edinburg, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on December 11, 1946, in Edinburg, Texas, where she spent her life surrounded by family, friends, and community.

Adelita was known for her adventurous spirit and compassionate heart. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, and a devoted grandmother who adored her grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great joy in nurturing, guiding, and supporting them with unwavering love.

She was a devoted and faithful woman whose generosity and strong work ethic were evident in everything she did. Honest and humorous, Adelita had a gift for bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Her kind-hearted and loyal nature made her a cherished friend and family member.

Patient, selfless, and deeply thoughtful, Adelita embodied wisdom and grace. Her warmth and love left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Adelita H. Lopez will be remembered for her warm spirit, devoted heart, and the positive impact she had on the lives of so many. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Isauro Lopez.

Adelita is survived by her loving five children, Ida Lopez, Melinda (David) Hensley, Christina (Charles) Mata, Orlando Lopez, Laura (Sam) Kirk; her eight granchildren, Bianca, Trey, Ashley, Justin, Christa, Kaitlynn, Amelia, and Cecilia; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Layla; numerous extended family.

A memorial service honoring Adelita’s life will be held on January 24, 2026, at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, located at 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas 78577, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Catholic service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. The burial of ashes will take place at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 N. Sugar Rd., Pharr, TX 78577, at 12:00 p.m. on the same day.

Funeral services are under Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
