Ana fue una esposa devota, madre amorosa y abuela llena de ternura. Le sobreviven su amado esposo Hermilo González, sus hijos Ana Gabriela, Hermilo y Rosa Elia, así como sus nietos, Jesse Lee y Emma Evangelina, quienes fueron la luz de sus ojos.

La precedieron en vida sus padres Francisco Bernal y María de Jesús Ortega y sus hermanos Praxedis, Cirilo y Francisco.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Ana Bernal de González shares her passing on May 23, 2025, in Hidalgo, Texas, at the age of 65. Ana was born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and dedicated her life to her family with love, joy, and immeasurable generosity.

Ana was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a tender grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband, Hermilo Gonzalez, her children, Ana Gabriela, Hermilo, and Rosa Elia, as well as her grandchildren, Jesse Lee and Emma Evangelina, who were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Bernal and Maria de Jesús Ortega, and her brothers, Praxedis, Cirilo, and Francisco.

Ana loved to sing and found joy in the simple things in life: feeding the birds, writing in her journals, creating art with her hands, and dedicating poems to her husband and children. Red was her favorite color, which reflected her passion in everything she did.

Her favorite foods included tacos, Dove chocolates, and strawberries and cream. Her loudest laugh was heard watching Tom and Jerry, and Home Alone, which was her favorite movie. A devout Catholic, Ana lived her faith with humility and perseverance. She had an enviable musical ear, and thanks to her, her children developed an exquisite taste in music.

Ana filled her home with laughter, light, and smiles. Her kindness touched all who knew her, and her memory will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

A visitation for Ana will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577. A Funeral Mass will occur Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 208 E Camelia Ave, Hidalgo, TX 78557.
