Candida Fonseca, age 85, of Pharr, Texas entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at her residence in Pharr. Candida was born October 3, 1935 in Pharr, Texas to Refugia Ramos and Clemencio Ramos.
Candida was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Candida will be remembered as a very exceptional person. To her family, she was an amazing wife, dedicated mother, and wonderful grandmother. She was born and raised in Pharr and through mutual friends met the love her life, José and together they celebrated 56 wedding anniversaries.
Candida loved her family deeply and they were her pride and joy. She had many interests but her favorite pastimes included spending time with her family, especially her adored grandchildren. Simply stated, Candida was a good and kind person with strong faith, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring, and generous person, someone who loved people. Candida will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
Candida is survived by her beloved husband, José Fonseca; daughter Ana D. González (Gilberto); and son José Luis Fonseca (Monica); sister Francisca Salazar (Guadalupe+), brother Matias Ramos (Alica), sister Rosa Alvarez (Carmen+), brother Juan Ramos (Celia), sister Constancia Flores (Benjamin) and brother Guadalupe Ramos (Maria); grandson Isaac A. Zavala (Laura), granddaughter Victoria S. González (Erika), grandson Gilbert Ryan González, granddaughter Gabriela R. González, grandson Simon Alexander Fonseca, grandson Saúl Aaron Fonseca and great grandchild Jude Nehemiah Zavala and numerous friends and families left to cherish hermemory.
Candida was preceded in death by father Clemencio Ramos and mother Refugia Ramos; brother Ambrocio Ramos (Emilia+); sister Ramona Tapia (Antonio+) and brother Eriberto Ramos.
A visitation for Candida will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley with her interment scheduled on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
