

Clark Daniel Carkenord, a hunter, diligent farmer, beloved partner, and devoted father, passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on July 19, 1949, Clark spent his life passionately engaged in the great outdoors, sharing the beauty of nature with those around him.
An avid outdoorsman, Clark found solace in the serenity of nature, awaiting the arrival of deer each hunting season with unwavering patience and skill. His love for the wilderness extended beyond the hunting grounds to the calming waters where he enjoyed fishing, reveling in the quiet moments that fishing provided. Clark's connection to the land was profound, reflected in his many years committed to farming and his last 15 years dedicated to produce. With a deep respect for the earth, he nurtured his land, tending to cattle and crops with a dedication that spoke volumes of his work ethic. His lessons of perseverance and fairness were imparted to his son, whom he proudly taught to hunt, fostering a tradition that would endure through generations. Known for his robust laugh and great personality, Clark was the life of every gathering. He found joy in socializing, often found in the company of friends and family at backyard barbecues, savoring good food and drinks. His warmth and friendliness drew people to him, creating lasting memories with those he cherished. Above all, Clark was a family man, fiercely loving and caring for his children. His guiding hand and compassionate heart left an indelible mark on their lives, shaping them with the values he held dear. Clark leaves behind a legacy of joy, wisdom, and the importance of cherishing the natural world.
Survived with deep sorrow by his partner, Cindy Nordmeyer; two children, Justin (Montserrat) Carkenord, Lexi Carkenord; four siblings, Leroy Carkenord, Kirk Carkenord, Aric Carkenord, Amy Carkenord; two grandchildren; many more family and friends.
Clark is preceded in death by wife, Jeanean Carkenord.
A memorial service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10am to 2pm with a prayer service at noon.
