Gilberto Leal, age 63, of Edinburg, Texas entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Gilberto was born October 6, 1957 in Edinburg, Texas to Bernadina Leal and Nicolas Leal.

Gilberto is survived by his beloved daughters Alexandria Leal and Adrianna Alyssa Leal (Robert Ortiz); siblings Hortencia Leal, Jose Leal (Maria), Raquel Flores (Jorge+), Isaura Cisneros (Ramiro), Norma Casares (Jaime), Viola Hinojosa (Raul+) and Oscar Leal (HIlda); grandchildren Alfredo Serna III, Anthony Isaiah Trevino, Janie Marie Trevino and Emma Scarlett Ortiz and numerous extended family and friends.

Gilberto was preceded in death by parents Nicolas Leal and Bernadina Leal; brothers Pedro Leal (Rosa+) and Juan Leal (Norma+).

A visitation for Gilberto will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, Pharr with a celebration of life being held at 6:00 PM. A chapel service for Gilberto will occur Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM and his interment is to follow at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, Pharr.
