Hector is survived by his beloved wife, Alicia Guerra; their children; Hector Guerra Jr M.D. (Dana); and Denise Yvette Guerra (Diego); his siblings; Santa M. Salazar, Alfredo Guerra Jr., Joe E. Guerra, Mary Cantu, Lily Marin, Luis M. Guerra; his grandchildren; Bo Byron Guerra, Dominique Vela (Torri), Damian Vela, Davin Pena; and his great grandchildren; Kennedi Ives and Stella Ives.
He is also survived by his dear fur baby Coco Chanel; Catarina Cazares a very dear and beloved friend; and his longtime friend Jorge Rojas.
He was dearly loved by countless brother-in-law‘s, sister-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, god children, compadres, family & friends.
Hector was preceded in death by his parents; Alfredo Guerra Sr., Lilia B. Guerra; and his brother Amador Guerra.
Hector was an innovator of his time in his line of work. He provided mentorship and support to countless individuals that he crossed paths with. He selflessly gave back to the community for many years. His family was his most treasured virtue in his life. He always spoke fondly of all his grandchildren who he was most proud of. We will miss him dearly.
A visitation for Hector will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and a rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel in Pharr, TX. A catholic mass will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, located at 505 S Ironwood St, Pharr, TX. A burial will follow at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, Pharr, TX.
