Lester Lee Eastin Jr., age 70, of Pharr, Texas entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Lester was born January 7, 1950 in Long Beach, California to Bernadette Marie Eastin and Lester Lee Eastin Sr.
Lester Lee Eastin Jr. was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Lester will be remembered as an exceptionally kind person.
As a young boy, Lester had a number of interests. Lester was an active child who took part in baseball which he continued to his adulthood and played competitively in Monterrey, Mexico. Lester was a sports fan, but he especially enjoyed baseball and NASCAR. He was a lifelong Dodgers fan and bled blue.
Lester met the love of his life, Norma over 35 years ago, and together they celebrated 29 wedding anniversaries. Lester worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to be a provider and ensure they were taken care of. Lester was blessed with six children, Melissa, Brian, Nolan, Layla, and Kevin which were his pride and joy. Another blessing for Lester was the gift of four grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, Kylie and Sabastian.
Fortunately, Lester enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Lester worked diligently until he was 70 years old and did his best to succeed in his career as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Lester enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were fishing, playing baseball, enjoying music and most importantly playing his many guitars. Lester also enjoyed cooking and having barbecues for his family where they were able to enjoy his legendary ribs and a cold drink of jack and coke.
Simply stated, Lester was a charismatic and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, who spoiled everyone (especially his adored wife) and someone who was a vital part of their lives. His sense of humor will be unforgettable. Lester leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Lester Lee Eastin Jr.
Lester is survived by his beloved spouse, Norma A. Eastin; children Melissa, Brian, Lester, Nolan, Layla, and Kevin; grandchildren Taylor, Logan, Kylie and Sabastian; as well as sisters Connie and Paulette.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Lee Eastin Sr. and Bernadette Marie Eastin.
A visitation will be held for Lester on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 3:00PM-8:00PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, Pharr with a rosary being recited at 6:00PM. A chapel service will occur Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM. with interment to follow at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, Pharr.
