Maria San Juanita Briones Martinez, age 59, of Alamo, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Maria was born February 15, 1962 to Julio Cesar Briones and Evangelina Martinez in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Maria, was a beloved mother and grandmother. She enjoyed family time, shopping and loved to cook for everyone especially for her grandchildren who she loved and adored very much. Maria enjoyed to go out dancing with her longtime partner of 13 years and will be greatly missed by the many that knew her.
Maria is survived by her longtime partner Ezequiel Rodriguez, her mother; Evangelina Martinez, her children; Juan Carlos Obregon (Carina), Seila Obregon (Roberto), Oscar Obregon (Edna) and Joshelin Fuentes. She is also survived by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Maria was preceded in death by her father; Julio Cesar Briones.
A visitation for Maria will be held Friday, July 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary service starting at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr, Texas. A Cremation is scheduled to follow at a later day.
