Mary Lopez

Mary was a devoted mother, a creative spirit, and a source of strength and wisdom to those around her.

She is survived by her beloved children: Mauricio Lopez, Jose Luis Lopez, Olivia Benson, Gaspar Agustin Lopez, Rafael Efrain Lopez, Gabriel Lopez III, Oscar Antonio Lopez, Mariano Lopez, Carolina Melissa Carpio, Jessica Rangel, Pablo Lopez, and Anselmo Artemio Lopez. Mary's love knew no boundaries as she raised her great-niece, Cecilia Buenrostro, as another daughter.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gabriel Velasquez Lopez Jr., and her daughter, Mary Belle Lopez.

Mary had a deep passion for arts and crafts. She found joy in making jewelry, designing heartfelt collages, and bringing beauty into everyday life through her creativity. Beyond her artistic talents, she had a gift for counsel. Mary served as a trusted advisor and confidante to many, always ready with a listening ear and words of encouragement.

Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and the many people she touched with her kindness and wisdom.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577. Funeral services will continue on Saturday, August 2, 2025, with a chapel service at11:00 AM, followed by a burial at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mary will be remembered for her generous heart, creative soul, and unwavering love for her family and community. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
