Omar was known for his brave and adventurous spirit. Cherished by all who knew him, he was recognized for his compassionate and generous heart. A gentle soul, Omar inspired many with his wisdom, humor, and the warmth he shared so freely. His kind-hearted and thoughtful nature left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him.
Omar loved Christmas — it was his favorite time of year — and he never passed up a good plate of mac and cheese. He enjoyed watching Supernatural and was a big fan of superheroes, especially those from the Avengers and DC universe. Whether cheering on his favorite heroes or baking his beloved upside-down pineapple cake, Omar found joy in the simple moments and shared that joy with others.
The word that best describes Omar is noble. He carried himself with quiet strength, loyalty, and a deep love for his family and friends.
Omar’s presence in the lives of those who loved him will be profoundly missed. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy of kindness, courage, and inspiration will forever live on in the hearts of all he touched.
2 Timothy 4:7–8 (NIV)
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
Omar is survived by his loving parents, Maria Trinidad and Omar Fernandez; and his big-little brother, David Alberto "Betito" Fernandez.
