San Juanita Izaguirre

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved mom, San Juanita Izaguirre, on October 19, 2024, at the age of 74. San Juanita was born on February 7, 1950, in Pharr, Texas, to Guadalupe Villanueva and Maria (Rodriguez) Villanueva.

She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. San Juanita’s Christian faith remained a cornerstone of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

San Juanita is survived by her husband Alvaro Izaguirre of 55 years; daughters Juana (Marcial) Sosa, Yvette (Jesus) De Leon, Amadita (Rey) Zamora, Jacqueline Izaguirre, and son, Jesse (Alicia) Izaguirre; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and sisters Elena Villanueva, Oralia Barrera, and Antonia Chavez; brothers Ramon Villanueva, Manuel Escamilla, and Julian Escamilla.

Her parents, Guadalupe and Maria Villanueva; brothers Lalo Villanueva, Jesse Escamilla, and Reynaldo V.; sisters Lupita V. Escamilla and Rosamaria Villanueva, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Rd. in Pharr, Texas. A funeral service will begin Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr, Texas with interment to follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 North Sugar Rd. in Pharr, Texas.
