She was preceded in death by her father Ruben Diaz de Villegas and her grandmother Zulima Diaz de Villegas.
Yvette is survived by her loving husband Eduardo Guerra Jr.; her children Lina Mae Guerra and Eduardo Ruben Guerra; her mother Alicia Diaz de Villegas and by her sister Yvonne Diaz de Villegas.
Yvette was a woman whose love for life was reflected in the simple and beautiful things she cherished most. She found joy in her children, treasured quiet sunrises with her daughter, and embraced the peace of nature through long walks, painting, and time spent by the beach. She had a special love for hummingbirds and found strength and fulfillment in weightlifting, as well as in her passion for speech therapy, where she devoted herself to helping children and capturing meaningful moments with them through photos. Her faith in God was a guiding force throughout her life. At home, she shared a deep and loving bond with her husband, Eddie, who for many years would bring her a variety of flowers to place on their kitchen table—a simple but heartfelt tradition that never failed to bring a smile to her face. She also held close to her heart the memory of her beloved corgi, Samson, who preceded her in passing, her surviving dog, and her cat, Loki. Yvette’s warmth, compassion, and appreciation for life’s quiet moments will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
