Annie Clyde Dennis went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9, 2024. She was born in Henry County, Alabama to Johnnie Clyde and Annie Lou Baxley on November 19, 1942. Annie was married for 40 years to her loving husband, Paul Dennis. She was known as “mama”, “MawMaw”, and “Annie Clyde” to her numerous friends and family.
Annie loved to cook, cheer for Alabama Football team, and watch her Hallmark movies among other things; but her family was her passion. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Opelika and she will be dearly missed.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Meadows (Craig), Donna Osborn (Brent), Paula Johnson, Barbara Webster (Kris), and Elaina Carrera (Dave); her six grandchildren and her ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda Lipscomb and brother, Donnie Baxley (Debbie), and her “grand-dogs” Jett and Charlie.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary Phenix City, 3770 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36868. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Justin Campbell, Alex Burch NP, and the doctors and nurses at Piedmont Midtown Hospital; for their care and concern for our mother’s health.
