Byron Eldridge Taylor, 89 of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Phenix City Health Care. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Mr. Taylor was born January 25, 1928 in Andalusia, AL; son of the late Aubrey and Lula Belle Taylor. He was retired from the Chicago Bridge and Iron Company. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Taylor, grandson, Adam Ross and step-son, Orie L. Simmons.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Simmons Taylor, three daughters, Jeannie Ross and husband Timothy, Anne Locklair and husband David and Angela Burnett; sister, Brenna Taylor and husband Bob, brother, Johnny Taylor, grandchildren, Justin and Matthew Ross, Lisa and Summer Locklair, Stephen and Jeremy Burnett, great grandchildren, Allison, Madison, Braden, Carter, Krista, Emily, Lilly, Jason, Jaime and many, many friends.
