Chalmas Edward "Boog" Stewart, age 73, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Funeral services with military honors will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, Alabama with Pastor Boyd Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Stewart was born in Greenville, Alabama; son of the late Chalmas "Buddy" Stewart and Dorothy "Dot" Linton Stewart. He served in the US Army and was self-employed in the pottery industry. He loved his sons and family, he enjoyed fishing earlier in his life, enjoyed old movies, going to the casino, loved animals, mostly cats and squirrels, he enjoyed traveling and was always the life of the party.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Travis, Wayne and Jimmy Stewart; brother-in-law, Johnny Arnold and niece, Wendy Troha.
Survivors include his sons, Travis Wayne Stewart (Mandy), Brandon Edward Stewart (Sydney), sisters, Patsy Arnold, Peggy Hughes (Wayne), long time relative and friend, Clarence Troha, three grandchildren, Natalie Stewart, Christopher Hobson and Christian Thomas and several nieces and nephews.
