Charles Vann Hill, 60 of Smiths Station, AL died Monday March 2, 2015 at the Medical Center. A memorial service with military honors will be held 2:00 P.M. EST Sunday March 8, 2015 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Mr. Hill was born May 11, 1954 in Huntsville, AL; son of Chaplain Col. (Ret) Charles Forrest Hill and Mavis Golden Hill of Waverly Hall, Georgia. He served in the US Army, was a graduate from Meadows College with a BS Degree and was currently employed with Marketron. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Wayne Hill.
Other than his parents, he is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janice Jones Hill, sons, Michael Thomas Hill, Charles Matthew Hill, step-daughters, Jennifer Helen Veasey, Katie Veasey Foxworth (Andy) all of Smiths Station, AL, sisters, Patti Hill Shelton (John) of Grantville, AL, Belinda Hill Thomas (Geoffery) of Statesville, NC, niece, Molly Thomas of Statesville, NC and five grandchildren.
