Christopher "Chris" Boyd, 24 of Smiths Station, Alabama, died Sunday May 15, 2011 in Columbus, Georgia, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.Graveside services will be held 2;00pm Friday May 20th in Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30pm until 1:30pm at the funeral home.
Christopher was born June 2, 1986 in Columbus Georgia, son of Terry Boyd of Phenix City and Sara Denise Smith Boyd of Smiths Station, AL. He was a graduate of Moanalua High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was employed with Intercontinental Packing and Corporation in Opelika, AL.
Survivors other than his parents include his sister, April Boyd of Salem, AL., grandparents, Ann and Ron Knipfer, fiancée, Teala Frost of Smiths Station, aunts and uncles, Pamela and Victor Salazar of Smiths Station, Allen and Cathy Boyd of Phenix City, Cecil and Cathy Boyd of Smiths Station and Sheila and Larry Milner of Phenix City, numerous other relatives and friends.
