Derrick Edwin Slocum, 34, of Salem, AL, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 22, 2017, at Lakeview Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Phenix City, AL. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Slocum is preceded in death by his grandfather, Philip Busch; uncle, Philip Busch, Jr; grandmother, Elsyner Laverne Slocum; cousin, Kristoffer Krekeler; and good friend Phillip Duchaj.
Survivors include his daughter, Kalen Slocum; parents, Deborah and Dann Slocum; sister, Deena Slocum; grandmother, Deloris Busch; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
