Donald Christopher Gore, 60 of Phenix City, Alabama died Thursday June 9, 2017 at his home. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday June 13, 2017 at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Gore was born January 20, 1957 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late John Albert and Maurice McKnight Gore. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Greg Gore, step-son Joey McNair and his brother, Charles Gore.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Gore of Phenix City, Al, daughter, Brande Barkowski (Mario) of Glendale, AZ, step-son, Ken McNair (Shana) of Fortson, GA, three sisters, Edna Martin (Roy) of Smiths Station, AL, Cathy Jones (Gary) of Cataula, GA, Janie Brown (Bob) of Phenix City, AL, seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Gore was an avid Nascar fan, Alabama "Roll Tide" fan, San Francisco 49er fan and a collector of many items. He was a loving husband, brother, father and friend to all and will be greatly missed.
