Doris Paula Manning, 83 of Salem, Alabama passed away Saturday July 29, 2017 at her home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, Alabama with an interment to follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. Rev. Dean Knipe will officiate.
Mrs. Manning was born August 5, 1933 in Esslingen, Germany; daughter of the late Wilhelm and Margarete Kemmner Wizemann. She was a homemaker and loved flowers, working her yard and being outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Edward L. Manning of Salem, AL, son, Michael Wizemann of Augusta, GA, daughter, Judy Johnson of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Nicole Johnson, Patrick Dodson and Corey Wizemann.
