Elaine Robinson Herring

Elaine Robinson Herring, 86 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Friday October 30, 2015 at the Columbus Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. EST Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Brady Baird officiating.

Mrs. Herring was born December 25, 1928 in Phenix City, Alabama; daughter of the late Thad W. and Ruth Voncile Britton Robinson. Mrs. Herring was retired from the Alabama Department of Human Resources and was a member of Summerville United Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Order of the Eastern Star. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Herring, her daughter, Celia Elaine Herring Brand and her sister, Marian Robinson Howell.

Survivors include her sons, Lyle Herring and wife Stella of Snead, AL, Evan Herring and wife Joy of Hiram, GA, grandchildren, Erica Brand and Jessica Brand both of Orlando, FL, Paige Gearheart and husband Ryan of Athens, GA, one great grandson, Aiden Phillips of Orlando, FL and her niece, Barbara Allison Howell of Seale, AL.
