Mr. Potts was born July 22, 1942 in Kentucky; son of the late William and Sylvertie Russell Potts. He was a retired business owner, served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Wilson Williams Masonic Lodge in Phenix City, Alabama.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Potts.
Survivors include his son, William Potts and wife, Kimberly, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
