Floyd W. Gilliland

Floyd W. Gilliland, 66 of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 at his home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. EDT at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor Tim Mitchell officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431N/280W, Phenix City, AL The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Gilliland was born September 8, 1944 in Phenix City, Alabama, son of the late Clinton Ray Gilliland, Sr. and Avie Evelynn Burkhalter Gilliland of Columbus, GA. He served in Army National Guard. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Gilliland.

Survivors include his mother, Avie Evelynn Gilliland, his children, Mark Gilliland of Phenix City, AL, Beth Gilliland of Atlanta, GA, brothers, Clinton Ray Gilliland, Harry Gilliland, Larry Gilliland, Jerry Gilliland all of Phenix City, AL and Ben Gilliland of West, Misissippi. He is also survived by his sister, Evelynn Gilliland of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Parker Gilliland, Zachary Gilliland, Conner Gilliland all of Auburn, AL, Jaxon Gilliland of Phenix City, AL, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
