George Daniel Bechdoldt Sr.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 1:30pm Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Hwy 165, Fort Mitchell, Alabama.

Mr. Bechdoldt was born May 7, 1932 in Rosie, Arkansas; son of the late Theodore Lee and Alva Christine Smith Bechdoldt. He retired from the US Army.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Venda Bechdoldt and his son, George Daniel Bechdoldt, Jr.

Survivors include his son, Elmer Lee Bechdoldt, daughter, Julia Renfro (Glen) and their children, Jonathan and Elizabeth, daughter, Tena Cowan (John) and their children, Venda and Julianna, daughter-in-law, Angie Bechdoldt, (wife of George, Jr.) and their children, Joshua, Jacob (Kasie) and great granddaughter, Lily, brother, Jim Bechdoldt and sisters, Ruth Scott, Lois Butler (James), numerous nieces and nephews.
