Gracie Cole

Gracie Cole, 88 of Columbus, Georgia, formerly of Phenix City, AL, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Rivertown Center. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church with Father John Klein officiating according to Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cole was born December 19, 1925 in Garrett, Kentucky. She is the daughter of the late James and Nancy Combs Conley. She was previously employed with Swift Spinning Mill and then later retired from Dolly Madison. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Howard Cole, son, Manford "Lump" Cole and daughter, Patricia Ann Cole Trew.

Survivors include her sons, Otha Buddy Cole and wife Kay of Wagarville, AL, Bobby Cole and wife Nannette of Stockbridge, GA, brother, Troy Conley of Garrett, KY, grandchildren, Tim Cole, Chris Cole, Tracy Cole all of Austin, TX, Amanda Stott and husband Nathan of Bessemer, AL, Alex Cole of Baton Rouge, LA, great grandchildren, Ivy and Damon Stott.
