Homer Ashley "Joe" Davis, 86 passed away Wednesday August 7, 2013 at the Columbus Medical Center. A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at United Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Watford officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Davis was born August 15, 1926 in Danville, Vermont. He served in the US Army, was self-employed and was a member of United Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Porter Davis and his wife, Mary Rivers Davis.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary "Jody" Medley and husband, John, Pat Eldridge, sons, Joey Davis and Tim Holloway. He also leaves behind 95 grandchildren from five generations and many other family and friends.
